TIRUMALA, 01 SEPTEMBER 2023:

TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy highlighted a few upcoming religious events and some development activities recently taken up by TTD during the Dial your EO Program held at Annmaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday.

In view of adhika masam TTD is observing twin Brahmotsavam festivals in September from 18 to 26 and Navaratri Brahmotsavams from October 15 to 23. Since the festivities synchronised with the holy Tamil Puratasi month extensive arrangements are being made for devotees convenience as large numbers are expected to participate.

The Honourable CM of AP will present Pattu Vastrams to Sri Venkateswara Swamy on September 18 on behalf of the State Government Prominent festivities include Garuda Vahana Seva on September 22, Swarna Ratham on 23, Rathotsavam on 25, Chakra Snanam and Dwajavarohanam on 26

In view of the grand celebrations TTD has cancelled the Arjita Sevas from September 18-26 like Astadala Pada Padmaradhana, Tiruppavada, Kalyanotsavam, Unjal Seva and Sahasra Deepalankara Sevas Devotees who had booked in advance will be however allowed for Vahana Sevas Privileged darshans also remain cancelled for senior citizens, handicapped and parents with infants

Srivani funds for Dhoop & Deepa Sevas in temples

As per traditions of Sanatana Hindu Dharma, TTD is providing funds for Dhoop, Deepa and Naivedyam in 501 temples constructed in backward areas from the funds of Srivani trust.

In the month of August a total of ₹ 25 lakhs was released at rate of ₹5000 for each temple.

Kariristi Yagam

TTD organised Kareeristi Varunajapa Parjanyashanti Yagam from August 22 to 26 at Dharmagiri Veda Vijnana Peetham seeking rains and prosperity of people in both the state and country.

Devotees luggage management

TTD has introduced a digitised and automated system titled Balaji Bagage management system(BBMS) for easy and comfortable deposit and retrieval of devotees luggage and mobile phones.

In view of delay in delivery of earlier, some devotees used to bring mobile phones into temple. But in the new system they could deposit and retrieve their luggage and mobile phones in an easy and quick manner in 44 counters at 16 centres present at Tirumala and Tirupati.

TTD now maintains 60,000 mobile phones and 40,000 pieces of luggage on a daily basis.

Workshop at Shilpakala college

TTD plans to conduct a three day workshop at its Sri Venkateswara Traditional Sculpture and Architecture college on making statues and temple building from September 4-6

Experts sculptors and Stapathis from AP, Telangana, Tamilnadu, and Karnataka will present new skills and techniques of temple building at the workshop.

Guidelines to Devotees at Footpaths

In the backdrop of the movements of wild animals on the footpaths, devotees made several suggestions.

TTD has barred the sale of fruits and vegetables on both footpaths as some devotees are buying and feeding the animals which are in turn attracting the wild animals to footpaths leading to attack on devotees.

All vendors and traders are instructed to segregate wet and dry garbage and dump them in dust bins provided only Mobile numbers of forest and health officials are circulated among vendors and also sinages put on footpaths for benefit of devotees

Awareness on organ donations for transplants

TTD has excellent infrastructure for conducting organs transplants at SVIMS hospital and appeals to spread awareness on organ donations by those close to death for humanitarian benefit of genuinely needy persons. TTD encourages devotees to donate organs with special privileges to families
