Amaravati, Nov 12 (IANS): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu urged the legislators of the ruling coalition on Tuesday to remain vigilant and proactive, emphasizing that the lack of opposition in the Assembly shouldn’t lead to complacency. He pointed out, without directly naming the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), that the opposition party seems to be shirking its responsibilities. Naidu called upon the MLAs and MLCs of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), along with its allies, the Jana Sena Party (JSP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), to carry out their duties as accountable representatives of the people. The YSRCP, holding just 11 seats in the 175-member Assembly, has opted out of the ongoing Budget session due to its status as a non-recognized main opposition party. The Chief Minister’s remarks were made during a workshop aimed at guiding first-time legislators in understanding the State Budget and the legislative process.
