Mumbai, Jan 23 (IANS) :
The Indian benchmark indices continued to tread with caution on Thursday amid mixed Q3 earnings as selloff in oil and gas and banking stocks continued.
In the early trade, Nifty fell 0.28 per cent to 23,090, while the 30-stock Sensex declined 0.27 per cent to 76,202.
However, gains on both the exchanges were seen immediately after. Ten out of the 12 sectors on the NSE declined, with Nifty FMCG and Nifty Oil and Gas fell the most. Nifty IT and Media went up in early trade.
