Steel plant accident is unfortunate: Minister Vasansetty Subhash

Visakhapatnam : Labour Minister Vasansetty Subhash visited the injured in the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant accident. The minister visited the injured at KIMS Hospital in Sheelanagar this morning and inquired about their health condition. Later, speaking to ABN-Andhra Jyothi, the minister said that the incident that took place at the steel plant was unfortunate. Three of the injured in the incident are undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital. He said that he visited them and that they are receiving better medical treatment.

He said that Rs. 25 lakhs have been announced for the families of those who died in the accident and Rs. 10 lakhs for the injured. He clarified that there is no truth in the allegations made by the trade union leaders. He revealed that the required number of workers were present when the accident occurred. He said that regular inspections were conducted at the steel plant. Minister Vasansetty Subhash stated that the coalition government will stand by the victims.
