Hyderabad : Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has suggested that the Agriculture Department should have a complete understanding of the yield of paddy. He directed that seeds should be made available in the Rythu Vedika. He ordered that data of farmers cultivating small grains should be collected. On Tuesday, CM Revanth Reddy held a review meeting on the Agriculture Department at the Bodhi Pavilion of MCRHRD in Hyderabad. On this occasion, the CM directed the Agriculture Department officials on several key issues. He ordered that 7 types of small grains that give bonuses should be made available. He directed that 7 types of small grains should be given on subsidy. He suggested that the pilot project started in Bhadradri Kothagudam Dammapeta mandal should be used more. Technology should be further increased in the Agriculture Department: CM Revanth Reddy directed that technology should be further increased in the Agriculture Department. He directed that AI should be used more. He suggested that the Agriculture University should be made the nodal agency and technology should be increased. He suggested that the Agriculture Department, Civil Supplies and Agriculture University should work in coordination from seeds to purchase. He said that efforts should be made to reduce losses in Markfed. He said that Oilfed should be strengthened. He suggested that an app should be set up for all agricultural medicines. He said that urea booked through the app should be distributed through the Rythu Vedika. He ordered that the responsibility of urea distribution should be entrusted to the district additional collector. He ordered that letters should be written to the central government on the allocation of urea and other fertilizers from time to time. Pressure should be brought to the center: CM Revanth Reddy suggested that pressure should be brought to the center to give all the fertilizers produced in the Ramagundam fertilizer factory to Telangana. The CM said that a meeting should be held with MPs of all parties on the situation of fertilizers and the situation should be explained.
