Hyderabad CP Sajjanar has made it clear that he will not forgive minors driving. On Friday, the traffic police held a meeting with school managements and related departments at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad on ‘safety of school children’. Speaking on the occasion, the CP said that there are more than 3500 schools in the city limits, out of which more than 12 lakh students are studying. He said that this program was organized to create a safe school environment. He advised students to make following traffic rules a habit.

The CP clarified that ranks are not important in educational institutions. A safe environment is important. He said that school bus drivers are being caught drunk and driving. The school management should have a complete route map of how students are coming to school. He concluded that if children are coming to school.. whatever happens, the school management is responsible.

The CP suggested that the drivers who drive school buses should be kept under surveillance. He said that educational institutions should appoint traffic volunteers and marshals. He said that children are getting involved in crimes without knowing it. He said that teachers and parents should monitor children. He said that CCTV cameras should be installed in the school premises. He said that selling tobacco products in the school premises is a crime… and that information should be given to the police on such things. He said that 45 students die in accidents every day across the country, and accidents are more dangerous than murders. That is why school students should be made aware of traffic rules, said CP Sajjanar.
