New Delhi : Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in Delhi on Monday. The two leaders discussed several key issues during the meeting. The CM thanked Rajnath Singh for transferring the Defence Department lands for the Gandhi Sarovar project. Revanth Reddy told the Union Minister that his government would provide full cooperation in land acquisition and transfer of utilities for the development of Adilabad Airport, one of the top priority projects of the state government. The CM made it clear to the Union Minister that the state government will provide all possible help and cooperation as it is a matter related to the integrity and defense of the country. He explained that the state government will provide all possible cooperation in the context of the massive expansion of the upcoming Indian Air Force Airport in Adilabad. The Chief Minister sought cooperation in setting up cargo, MRO and hangar facilities in large numbers along with the Indian Air Force Terminal and the terminal building of the Civil Aviation Department to be constructed for the convenience of passengers. In the wake of the recent developments in West Asia, the CM appealed to the Union Minister to develop Adilabad Airport, which is most suitable for world-renowned airlines to set up their hangars, in that direction. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy appealed to the Union Minister to quickly sanction a key project related to them at the location selected by DRDO/DRDL near Devarakadra in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana.
