Minister Atchannaidu clarified that the government’s goal is transparency in fertilizer distribution. Speaking to the media on Friday, he said that with APAIMS 2.0, illegal diversion of fertilizers is being completely checked. He said that only genuine farmers are being provided subsidized fertilizers. He said that fertilizers have been distributed to 2.97 lakh farmers so far through APAIMS 2.0. He said that 48,588 metric tons of urea and 12,874 metric tons of DAP have been distributed. The minister said that fertilizers are being supplied only as required based on the crop and cultivation area. He said that real-time monitoring is being done on fertilizer stocks and supply. He said that equal opportunities are being provided to every eligible farmer, including tenant farmers. He said that complaints about fertilizer issues can be filed on toll-free 155251. He revealed that most of the technical problems that arose initially have been resolved. He said that irregularities in subsidized fertilizers are being completely stopped with APAIMS 2.0. The minister appealed not to believe the misinformation that misleads farmers. He said that the propaganda that tomato prices have completely fallen is false. According to official market statistics, tomato prices have remained stable. He said that the propaganda going on about the Jain Mango Pulp Unit is also false. Minister Atchannaidu advised farmers to trust only official information.
