Vizianagaram: Minister Kondapalli has ordered the authorities to take steps to return the land belonging to former Union Minister and Goa Governor Ashok Gajapathi Raju to him. He criticized the fact that the land was occupied and the party office was built during the previous YSRCP government. Stating that Ashok Gajapathi Raju is a shining example of honesty, the minister expressed his anger that not only illegal cases were framed against him during the previous government, but also the land belonging to him was occupied and the YSRCP party office was built. He questioned whether the YSRCP leaders were aware of this fact that only the rulers of the Pusapati clan have full rights over the properties. The minister said that he is instructing the authorities to examine the details submitted by Ashok Gajapathi Raju, including the survey numbers, as per the records and take appropriate action immediately. He warned that strict action will be taken against the officials who showed the most valuable private land in the heart of the city as government land. The minister questioned how such land, which should have been kept under government protection, was handed over to a political party office despite the records being tampered with as it was a vacant land. Minister Kondapalli clarified that several leaders had also seized the lands of the poor during the YSRCP regime and that a thorough investigation would be conducted into such matters and action would be taken against those responsible.
