Sangareddy : Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will visit Sangareddy district on August 15 to distribute new smart ration cards to beneficiaries.Ahead of the Chief Minister’s visit, TPCC Working President T. Jayaprakash Reddy (Jagga Reddy), District Collector Pratik Jain and Superintendent of Police Paritosh Pankaj inspected the helipad at Tara Degree College and the assembly hall at Ambedkar Stadium on Monday. They reviewed the arrangements being made for the Chief Minister’s programme.Speaking on the occasion, Jagga Reddy criticised the previous BRS government, alleging that ration cards were issued only in limited numbers during its ten-year rule. He said the Congress government was committed to providing smart ration cards to around 1.5 crore people across Telangana.Jagga Reddy welcomed the decision taken by Minister for Civil Supplies N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to introduce the smart ration cards, describing it as a matter of happiness for beneficiaries.He said that although the programme is a government event, the Congress party would give the Chief Minister a grand welcome during his visit to Sangareddy. Arrangements are also being made to organise a public meeting with an expected gathering of around 50,000 people, he said.
