We will prepare Telangana youth for army jobs.. CM Revanth with Lieutenant General

Hyderabad : Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a courtesy meeting with Lieutenant General C. Rajesh Pushkar, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Southern Command of the Indian Army. On the occasion, the Chief Minister said the state government was ready to work together with the Army to encourage Telangana youth to participate in various recruitment drives conducted by the Indian Army. He requested that training programmes be organised at suitable district centres to provide greater opportunities for local youth to join the Army. Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar responded positively to the proposal and expressed his willingness to establish training centres for youth at suitable locations in various districts of Telangana ahead of Army recruitment drives to be conducted across the country.

The Chief Minister also discussed the role of the Army in disaster management. He requested the Army to take a more proactive role in rescue operations, evacuating people to safe locations and carrying out rehabilitation activities in flood-affected areas of the state. Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar said local Army officers would be instructed to take special initiatives during disaster situations in Telangana. On the occasion, Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar praised the Musi River Cleansing Project being undertaken by the state government. He said the revival of the Musi River was necessary to protect Hyderabad, reduce pollution and restore the city’s historical glory. Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, Major General Srinivas Rao and other senior Army officers participated in the meeting.
