New Delhi : Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy has demanded that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy give clarity on his US visit. CM Revanth Reddy has commented that the Centre has blocked his US visit due to political reasons. He responded in New Delhi on Tuesday. CM Revanth Reddy’s comments were dismissed as meaningless. He directly questioned the Telangana CM as to why he went on a foreign trip without permission. Revanth Reddy said that this visit was not befitting his level.

He reminded that they have not made any new rules on foreign visits of Chief Ministers. He clarified that they have implemented the rules that have been in place since independence. This is a normal process. There is no room for politics in this. He explained that there were reports that CM Revanth Reddy is going to meet New York Mayor Mamdani, a person who spits venom on India. On this occasion, he reminded the New York Mayor of his comment that Prime Minister Modi is a terrorist. He demanded that CM Revanth Reddy answer why he is meeting Mamdani.

Kishan Reddy said that the Union Ministry of External Affairs had also denied his foreign visit in the past. He believed that the Ministry of External Affairs had taken this decision keeping in mind the interests of our country. He said that it is absurd for CM Revanth to argue that permission was given to the Gujarat CM to visit the US and not to him. He said that when Narendra Modi was the CM, the then Congress government had denied him a foreign visit.

However, he said that the Center had given permission to CM Revanth Reddy to study a Harvard Business Course. He said that the Congress had also cancelled foreign tours of Chief Ministers in the past. He said that the Telangana government had failed in the caste census issue. He explained that caste census was not conducted in 20 percent of the houses in Hyderabad. Union Minister Kishan Reddy accused Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi of not having any knowledge about caste census.
