Siddipet : BRS MLA and former minister Harish Rao lashed out at the Telangana state government over its thousand days of vulture and demon rule. He criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that the farmers of the state are being preyed upon like vultures. BRS party agitations are continuing across the state in protest against the Congress party’s thousand-day rule. On Saturday, MLAs Harish Rao and Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, MLC Yadava Reddy, and a large number of farmers participated in the ‘Rythu Polikeka’ programme at Habsipur Crossing in Dubbaka constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said, We mobilized like this for Telangana. But is this CM Revanth Reddy’s achievement? He expressed concern that people are once again being forced to come onto the roads. He said that 24-hour electricity supply in the state has been reduced to five or six hours. Were there ever days when we had to wait for electricity during the KCR government? he asked the farmers. He said that the old days that the Congress had spoken about have returned. Sarcastically, he said that free electricity has become a lot of electricity.

Harish Rao reminded the gathering that Rythu Bandhu was not stopped even during the coronavirus pandemic. Former Minister Harish Rao expressed his frustration, saying that KCR had love for farmers, and questioned what had happened to CM Revanth Reddy. He lashed out at CM Revanth Reddy for putting a damper on the existing Rythu Bandhu scheme. He alleged that Revanth Reddy had withheld Rs. 29,000 crore under Rythu Bandhu over the past three years. He said that Rythu Bima had been discontinued. Harish Rao said that DAP is not being provided for 15 days after booking it through the app. He questioned how urea, which is not available in shops, would be made available through the app. He expressed anger over the BJP government’s increase in urea prices. He alleged that both the Congress and BJP are exploiting farmers.

He said that the Chief Minister is claiming that the Centre will procure as much of any crop as farmers produce. He expressed anger at the Revanth Reddy government for not acquiring even a single acre of land in the erstwhile Medak district over the past three years. He also criticized the government for not digging the Janedu canal. He expressed concern that CM Revanth Reddy had neglected the entire Kaleshwaram project.

He said that when a minor repair was carried out at Medigadda, the project suffered a collapse, proving, according to him, that it was a disaster. He described the situation not as a drought brought about by nature, but as a drought brought about by Revanth Reddy. Former Minister Harish Rao explained that 44,000 cusecs of water is flowing at Medigadda. He said that if the motors are switched on, water can flow to Mallanna Sagar. He said that the thousand days of rule had resulted in a thousand lies, a thousand votes and land grabbing. He made it clear to the farmers that if the apps are to go away, CM Revanth Reddy should be removed from office. Harish Rao said that if Rythu Bandhu is to be restored as before, KCR should return to power.
