Handri Niva work must be completed in 2027.. CM Chandrababu Naidu orders

Amaravati : CM Chandrababu Naidu inquired about the Handreeniwa Sujala Sravanti works. He instructed the officials to complete the works by 2027. A cabinet meeting was held today (Wednesday) under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. On this occasion, the CM asked Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy about the Handreeniwa Sujala Sravanti (HNSS) and Srinivasapuram reservoir works. He inquired about the progress of the Handreeniwa Sujala Sravanti (HNSS) Phase-II works, the tender process related to Srinivasapuram reservoir, and the completion of the works.

In the context of the administrative approvals of Rs. 1,323.75 crores being granted for the remaining works in HNSS Phase-II, the work has been expedited. Minister Mandipalli was made clear to take steps to complete the Srinivasapuram reservoir works by 2027. The CM suggested that steps be taken to comprehensively undertake works worth about Rs. 350 crores for the HNSS main canal 490 – 535 km within the Rayachoti constituency.

Minister Mandipalli said that if the works are completed, the HNSS will meet the drinking water and irrigation water needs and provide water security to the people by filling up about 25 thousand acres of empty tanks. He said that action should be taken to connect Srinivasapuram and Adivapilly reservoirs with the HNSS canal and fill the tanks along the way. Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy thanked CM Chandrababu Naidu and Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu for prioritizing funds for HNSS works.
