‘Priority to Gram Sabha Decisions’: Minister Seethakka Reviews Implementation of VB-G RAM G

Hyderabad : Telangana Minister Seethakka held a video conference to review the implementation of VB-G RAM G and assess the ground-level status of the rural employment guarantee programme. During the review, the minister discussed the identification of works in villages, employment generation and the progress of ongoing projects with officials. She also sought details about field-level challenges from sarpanches, panchayat secretaries and field assistants. Minister Seethakka provided directions on the role and responsibilities of Gram Panchayats in implementing VB-G RAM G. She instructed officials to ensure that every eligible family receives employment opportunities under the scheme. She further emphasised that decisions taken by Gram Sabhas should be given priority while selecting works, stressing the importance of involving local communities in planning and implementation.

Minister Seethakka said that transparency, quality and accountability would be given top priority in the implementation of employment-related works. She directed mandal and district-level officials to work in close coordination to ensure that issues arising at the field level are resolved promptly. The minister called for strengthening the implementation of VB–G RAM G to create more employment opportunities for rural residents and accelerate development in villages. More than 12,000 sarpanches, along with panchayat secretaries, field assistants, and mandal and district-level officials, participated in the video conference.
