Hyderabad : Former Telangana minister T. Harish Rao has criticised the Congress government over the rise in prices of essential commodities, alleging that the administration has failed to keep prices under control. In a post on social media platform X, Harish Rao said the continuing increase in prices was placing a significant financial burden on ordinary households. He called on the government to immediately review the situation and take steps to contain the price rise. Harish Rao also questioned the government’s claims of achieving record agricultural production in the state. He asked why rice prices were continuing to rise sharply if agricultural output had increased substantially. The former minister urged the government to examine the factors behind the increase in rice prices and take appropriate measures to provide relief to consumers.
