Hyderabad : The Telangana government has issued new guidelines regarding temporary and hyperlocal advertisements in the Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) area. An Advertisement Nodal Officer will be appointed for each ward. Temporary advertisements will be allowed for a maximum of 3 days. Similarly, hyperlocal advertisements will be allowed for a maximum of 7 days. The government has made it clear that ads placed without permission will be removed immediately and a fine will be imposed.

The government has banned placing advertisements on public property, trees, electricity poles and transformers. Similarly, it has ordered that ads should not be placed in a way that obstructs traffic, pedestrian paths, signals and CCTVs. The Telangana government has entrusted the responsibility of implementing the new guidelines to the GHMC, CMC and MMC commissioners.
