President to visit Vijayawada for two days

Amaravati : Indian President Draupadi Murmu will visit Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh on October 14 and 15. On this occasion, she will visit Sri Kanakadurgamma, which is located on Indrakiladri. She will also attend the Saras Mela organized at Punnami Ghat as the chief guest. To this end, the authorities have made extensive arrangements and implemented strict security measures.

Kanakadurgamma Darshan on October 14..President Draupadi Murmu will arrive at Gannavaram Airport on October 14 at 6:25 pm. From there, she will go to Indrakiladri in Vijayawada and have darshan of Sri Kanakadurgamma at 7:20 pm. The authorities are paying special attention to security, traffic control and protocol arrangements in the vicinity of the temple in connection with the President’s visit.

Chief guest at Saras Mela on 15th.. The President will participate in the Saras Mela to be held at Poonami Ghat in Vijayawada on October 15. On this occasion, she will attend a banquet organized by women of self-help groups and Lakhpati Didi. This program will be a platform to discuss issues related to women empowerment, self-employment and economic development of rural women. After completing her two-day visit to Vijayawada, Draupadi Murmu will return to Delhi from Gannavaram Airport on October 15 in the afternoon.

CS Review.. Meanwhile, State Government Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad conducted a review on the arrangements related to the President’s visit. He directed the officials of various departments to work in coordination and strictly implement the protocol rules related to the President’s visit. He advised to take steps with advance planning to avoid any problems during the visit. He clarified that vigilance should be maintained in matters like security, transportation, traffic control, arrangements at venues, and assignment of duties to officials.
