Nominations deadline for four urban local bodies in AP ends

Amaravati : The deadline for receiving nominations for four urban local bodies in Andhra Pradesh has ended. The additional 48-hour deadline given by the AP Election Commission as per the orders of the Supreme Court has expired. With this, the process of filing nominations for wards under two municipal corporations and two municipalities has ended. The additional time has been given to the candidates who want to contest the elections, allowing them to file nominations for the respective seats.

Nominations have been filed for 18 wards in Tirupati Municipal Corporation and 11 wards in Kadapa Municipal Corporation. Candidates have also filed nominations for 11 wards in Rajampet Municipality. Nominations have also been filed for all wards in Maidukuru Municipality. With the completion of the additional deadline for receipt of nominations for these four urban local bodies, the election process has reached the next stage.
