Amaravati : Another key agreement reached at the Davos conference this year has taken a step towards becoming a reality. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has come forward to set up a food cluster in Andhra Pradesh. A delegation led by UAE Minister for Finance and Tourism Abdullah bin Tawq Al Marri met with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at the State Secretariat on Tuesday. A delegation from the UAE discussed the establishment of a UAE food cluster in Andhra Pradesh with Chief Minister Chandrababu. Responding to the invitation made by CM Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to Davos this year, the UAE expressed its readiness to set up a food cluster in AP. The UAE has decided to set up a value chain in the food processing sector in AP. A partnership has been formed between the AP government and the United Arab Emirates for this purpose. With this partnership, it has been decided to set up a value chain to send mangoes, bananas, cocoa and various horticultural products to international markets. The meeting was attended by a delegation from the UAE, along with Minister TG Bharat, Food Processing, Industries, and senior officials of the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (EDB).
