Amaravati : Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu said that the importance of water has been recognized from NTR to Chandrababu. Speaking to the media on Tuesday on the achievements achieved in the two-year rule, the minister lashed out at the YSRCP, saying that on one hand the economy is on a ventilator and on the other hand they have handed over the destroyed irrigation. Today, the Irrigation Department has also prepared a calendar. He said that Polavaram is a boon and life for the state. He said that 72 percent of Polavaram has been completed today. He said that if the TDP government had continued at that time, the project would have been completed by 2021-22.

The minister criticized the then government that was in power in 2019 for leaving the Polavaram project in the air for 17 months. He said that the then government did not fulfill a single promise given to the displaced people of Polavaram. Finally, he accused them of diverting the funds given by the Center for Polavaram. He was furious that the then government had also diverted the Polavaram reimbursement funds. He said that the ECRF dam is the most crucial for Polavaram. He revealed that 31 percent of the dam work has been completed. He said that they are working day and night to complete the right and left connectivity. He said that Rs. 2250 crores have been paid to the displaced people of Polavaram in the last two years. Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu said that the questionable project was saved during the last five years of YSRCP rule.
