Construction of Indiramma houses close to jobs and employment: CM Revanth Reddy

Hyderabad : Chief Minister Revanth Reddy held a review on Friday on the construction of Indiramma houses to be undertaken within the Cure area. On this occasion, he issued orders to the officials to take up the construction of Indiramma houses in populated areas. He suggested that steps be taken to immediately identify unused government lands and use them for house construction. The CM ordered special attention to be paid to vacant government lands inside the Outer Ring Road (ORR). He said that Indiramma houses should be constructed in areas close to job and employment opportunities. He gave the green signal to use vacant lands under the police, revenue and transport departments for house construction.

The CM revealed that a total of 7,680 Indiramma flats will be constructed in 17 constituencies in the first phase. He said that they will be built in an area of 528 square feet. He said that the construction of each flat will cost approximately Rs. 11 lakh, of which the government will provide a subsidy of Rs. 5 lakh. He clarified that the land cost will be borne entirely by the government. The CM instructed the officials to expedite the process of identifying vacant government lands. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that the government is focusing on providing housing for the poor within close proximity to the city.
