Telangana Government will provide Identity Cards for Joginis – Ponnam Prabhakart

Hyderbad : Minister Ponnam Prabhakar made key announcements on the occasion of Lal Darwaja Simha Vahini Mahankali Bonala. He assured that the government will provide special recognition and identity cards to the Joginis and will support them in every way in the future without any problems. Speaking on the occasion, he said that today is an auspicious day for all the people of Telangana. He hoped that with the blessings of the Goddess, the state will receive abundant rains and all the people will be happy and content. He said that the government has made all arrangements for the Bonala fair, which is a symbol of Telangana culture and traditions. He said that although there was some pressure due to the large number of devotees this time, the officials worked in coordination to ensure that the darshans took place smoothly.

The minister revealed that the government is positively considering their request to provide special recognition to the Joginis. He said that steps will be taken to ensure that the Joginis do not face any problems in the future and that they are considering issuing identity cards to them. He also said that the government has decided to take them as co-option members in the municipal elections. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar clarified that better arrangements will be made for those who serve the Goddess in coordination with the three departments on the occasion of Lal Darwaja Bonala, and that a final decision will be taken after discussing with the relevant minister on the issue of providing official recognition to Joginis.
