Amaravati : The monsoon session of the AP Assembly began today (Monday) morning. Immediately after the assembly session began, Speaker Ayyannapatrudu took up the question and answer session. On this occasion, the ministers are answering the questions asked by the MLAs on the issues related to the respective constituencies. As part of this, Minister Narayana answered the questions asked by the MLAs on the construction work being done in the state capital Amaravati. While 119 works have been proposed in the capital of Amaravati, letters of indent have been given for 103 works, of which 97 works are currently being done. It was revealed that Rs. 41,187.7 crores have been raised through the World Bank, ADB and NABARD. Out of this, Rs. 12,737.13 crores have been spent. Also, returnable plots have been given to the farmers who gave their lands in land pooling, and so far 71,293 plots have been given to 30173 farmers. Rs. Minister Narayana stated that Rs. 2248.03 crores have been paid to farmers.

MLA Shravan Kumar said that work is going on very fast in the capital of AP, Amaravati… Government buildings are being built as per the time schedule. He said that there are roads on all four sides in Venkatapalem, but there is no connectivity. He said that the government should see what should be done so that people do not face any problems. He said that there is no proper road to go from Pedaparimi to Tullur, and they are not able to reach the Seed Axis Road from Mandam. He said that there is a special plan for the development of 29 villages. But it is being done at a snail’s pace. The MLA asked that a special officer be assigned for the development of these villages and monitored. MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdhury said that an action plan should be prepared for the development of 29 villages. He questioned that the ten-year lease period has expired and what kind of help is being provided to the farmers. The MLA asked how much the cost has increased due to the previous government’s management.

Minister Narayana replied to this. He said that trunk roads and layouts are being developed in 29 villages. He said that an estimate of Rs. 904 crore was made, and tenders had to be called again due to some technical problems. He said that development work is being accelerated in 29 villages after the tender on the 27th of this month. He said that development did not happen there due to the difficulties caused by the previous YSRCP government, so the lease period has been extended for another 10 years. He said that those who are now being given land will be given a lease for 10 years. He said that the expenditure in Amaravati has increased by 25 percent from 2014-19 to today. He said that the Seed Axis Road connecting Mangalagiri Road has been completed. Minister Narayana said that since the Seed Axis Road is available, the Karakatta Road will be stopped from tomorrow.
