TN Government issues key orders to students not to participate in protests

Chennai : TN Government has taken strict action to prevent students and youth from participating in political protests and agitations in Tamil Nadu. To this end, clear orders have been issued to the school education department, higher education department, police department and district administrations to take appropriate preventive measures in coordination. These official orders have been issued keeping in mind the programs being planned by the Left parties and the Tamil Nadu Cockroach Janata Party (CJP). The Vijay government plans to prevent students from participating in any political protest programs. The government has asked the concerned departments of the Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE) to take appropriate measures to keep them away from political agitation programs. It has been advised that all the officials should act in coordination and prevent students from participating in agitations. Moreover, the orders have mentioned that detailed reports should be submitted on the steps taken so far in this regard. Official sources said that this decision has been taken to ensure that students focus on their studies and protect them from the agitations of political parties.
