Anakapalli : Andhra Pradesh government has provided relief to the BARC project to be undertaken in Anakapalle district. It has decided to waive stamp duty and registration fees related to land registration for the project. The government has issued a GO waiving fees for the registration of 4,950 acres of land in Anakapalle. In the first phase, stamp duty and registration fee exemption will be applicable to 1,947.225 acres of land in Achuthapuram and Munagapaka mandals. Later, the Revenue Department will apply this subsidy to the remaining lands in phases. BARC will set up a center for research on clean energy, nuclear research, and radiation technology in the Achuthapuram area. The BARC project will become crucial for research in the fields of national defense, energy, medicine, agriculture, etc. The government has taken a decision on the exemption of fees related to land registration as per the provisions of Article 285(1) of the Constitution of India.
