AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has called for resolving the issues between the states through mutual cooperation and coordination. He said that if the southern states move forward together, they will become a stronger driving force for the country’s development. He said that South India has the potential to become an economy of more than 10 trillion dollars by 2047. The 31st Southern Zonal Council meeting held in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, discussed 24 issues. Chandrababu Naidu addressed the gathering. He said that their goal is to achieve mutual cooperation between the southern states. He suggested that problems should be resolved through trust and mutual cooperation between the central and state governments. He made several key proposals on this occasion. AP proposed to develop a bullet train corridor connecting Tamil Nadu and Karnataka via Kuppam. He said that this route connecting the cities of Amaravati, Bengaluru and Chennai will further boost the economic activities of the three states. He explained that AP has set goals of becoming a $2.4 trillion economy, Tamil Nadu $2.6 trillion, and Karnataka $1 trillion. Collectively, all the southern Indian states will grow to become a $10 trillion economic power. He said that the Southern Council has worked with mutual trust, cooperation between states, and collective development as the main goals in center-state relations. He asked that the decisions taken here be implemented expeditiously.
