I did not ask for resignation.. I am waiting for the decision of the high command: Konda Surekha

Hyderabad : Minister Konda Surekha, who travelled to New Delhi after being summoned by the Congress high command, is holding meetings with senior party leaders. As part of her visit, she met AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge on Wednesday. Speaking to the media after the meeting, Surekha said she had met the party’s national president, Mallikarjun Kharge, but had not yet met AICC General Secretary K.C. Venugopal. She added that she is awaiting the high command’s decision regarding the ongoing developments. Responding to speculation, the minister clarified that the party leadership had not asked her to resign.

Minister Konda Surekha questioned whether she, as a leader from the Backward Classes (BC) community, was being subjected to different standards than leaders from other communities. She alleged that several ministers from other communities in the Cabinet were also facing various allegations and asked what action would be taken against them. Surekha said she had already submitted a written representation to the Congress high command, including AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, detailing all the issues. She urged the party leadership to take action against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. Questioning the Chief Minister’s remarks, Surekha asked how Revanth Reddy could claim that he would continue as Chief Minister for the next ten years. She said she had requested Kharge to consider all the issues before taking a decision.
