Crime rate has decreased due to the strong surveillance of the Eagle Team: Home Minister Anita

Amaravati : Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha today (Friday) reviewed the implementation of the ‘2026-2029 Drug Control Vision Document’ at the Eagle headquarters. The review was held with Eagle teams from all districts across the state through a Zoom call. Eagle IG A.K. Ravikrishna explained the progress and future activities in the eradication of marijuana to Anitha. Speaking on the occasion, the Home Minister said that CM Chandrababu Naidu had formed the Eagle team for the golden future of the future generations. He said that a toll-free number 1972 named ‘Break the Silence’ has been set up to provide information on the sale and use of marijuana. The Home Minister revealed that over 20,000 cases have been registered in the last 4 months due to geo-tagging surveillance of 900 marijuana hotspots across AP. Anita stated that the crime rate in the state has decreased by 14 percent due to the strong surveillance of the Eagle Team.
