The election drumbeat in TGSRTC

Hyderabad: After a gap of nearly ten years, the election process for the recognised trade union in the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has been set in motion. The Labour Department on Friday released the schedule for the elections to determine the recognised union representing RTC employees. According to the schedule, polling will be held on October 9, while the election results will be announced on October 17. The election process is scheduled to begin on Monday, marking the start of the formal proceedings for the selection of the recognised labour union. The elections assume significance as RTC employees are set to choose their recognised union after a decade-long gap.
