Hyderabad, April 1: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has instructed district collectors to organize Gram Sabhas across Telangana starting April 2, aiming to strengthen grassroots governance and ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes.

In a review meeting held with senior officials, the DyCM emphasized that Gram Sabhas should serve as a platform for direct interaction between the administration and rural citizens. He directed collectors to ensure wide participation from villagers, elected representatives, and local stakeholders.

Bhatti Vikramarka stressed that key issues such as distribution of welfare benefits, identification of eligible beneficiaries, development works, and grievance redressal must be taken up during the meetings. He also instructed officials to maintain transparency and accountability in the process.

The Deputy CM highlighted that special focus should be given to marginalized sections, ensuring their concerns are heard and addressed promptly. Collectors were asked to submit detailed reports on the outcomes of the Gram Sabhas and follow up on pending issues without delay.

Officials have been told to make necessary logistical arrangements and create awareness among villagers to ensure the success of the initiative. The state government views these Gram Sabhas as a crucial step toward participatory governance and inclusive development.
