Amaravati : Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan took stock of the accident that occurred at Sricity in Tirupati district. He directed officials to ensure that the injured receive better medical treatment. Pawan Kalyan expressed grief over the incident in which four workers lost their lives after a boiler exploded at an industrial unit. As soon as he learned about the accident, he spoke to the district collector and sought details about the incident. Officials informed the Deputy Chief Minister that the boiler at the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility exploded while the workers were on duty, killing four of them on the spot and injuring several others.

Officials said that one of the injured was in critical condition and has been shifted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai for better treatment. The Deputy CM inquired about the current situation in the industry where the accident occurred. He directed the concerned officials to take steps to ensure that the injured are provided with the best medical services. He also suggested that a review be conducted on the implementation of safety standards in all industries within Sri City and necessary steps be taken to prevent accidents. He ordered that a comprehensive safety audit be conducted immediately on this incident. He expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the deceased. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan assured the families of the victims that the coalition government will stand by them.
