Hyderabad : Tension prevailed after the police arrested TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud and ministers who staged a protest at Lok Bhavan. Congress, TJS and Left parties have called for ‘Chalo Lok Bhavan’ today (Thursday), demanding the resignation of Central Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Telangana PCC president, ministers and India Alliance state leaders participated in this protest and staged a protest. In this context, the police were alerted. They stopped the leaders who were leaving for a rally from Khairatabad towards Lok Bhavan.

Barricades were set up 300 meters away from Lok Bhavan. The protesters were prevented from reaching Lok Bhavan with barricades. This led to tension there. Ministers and MLAs expressed anger at the police who blocked the rally. However, the police detained the protesters. PCC chief Mahesh Goud, ministers Sridhar Babu, Adluri Laxman and Azharuddin were arrested by the police. They were taken to the Panjagutta police station. On the other hand, protests are continuing across the country under the auspices of the India Alliance.
