Congress government is responsible for drought in Telangana: KTR

Hyderabad : BRS Working President and former Minister KTR once again lashed out at the Congress government. He accused the Congress of being responsible for the drought situation in the state. He made comments on the ‘X’ platform saying that this is not a drought brought by time, but a drought brought by Congress. He criticized the Congress government for not paying attention even though weather experts had warned about El Nino in advance.

KTR’s post… ‘It’s not a drought brought by time.. This is a drought brought by Congress!! From June 01, 2026 to today, this Congress government has released 750 TMC of Godavari water and 250 TMC of Krishna water downstream. They did not care about the opportunity to fill the reservoirs and tanks on Godavari by using the Kannepalli and Devadula pumps properly. They wasted Krishna water by not turning on the Palamuru – Ranga Reddy and KLI pumps. Even though weather experts have been warning since March this year that El Nino is coming.. the Congress government did not care,’ KTR posted on X.
