She also revealed that Rs. 1 crore each would be sanctioned to other districts to meet their immediate drinking water needs. During a review meeting, the minister directed officials and engineering staff to take proactive measures to ensure an uninterrupted supply of drinking water across the state. She instructed them to identify water-scarce areas, arrange borewells on a rental basis, and ensure water supply through tankers wherever necessary.

Seethakka further stressed the importance of making hand pumps, open wells, and other local water sources readily accessible to the public. She asked engineers to closely monitor water levels in reservoirs and take necessary steps to conserve rainwater by improving groundwater recharge. The minister also directed officials to complete all ongoing soak pit and Magic Soak Pit construction works within the next two days. Emphasizing the need for public participation, she called for village-level awareness campaigns on the impact of El Nino and the importance of water conservation.
