Nalgonda : Telangana Defence Force Chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that it is impossible to bring water from Eedula to Dindi. She opined that the Nalgonda region will become fertile only if Godavari water is brought. She said that if the Narlapur reservoir work is carried out, the Kalvakurthi lift irrigation scheme will be damaged. She said that it will take a long time to provide water to Mahabubnagar and it is not possible to bring water to Nalgonda. Kalvakuntla Kavitha visited the Dindi reservoir today (Saturday). On this occasion, she gave a power point presentation.

On this occasion, Telangana Rakshana Sena chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that Godavari water could be directly supplied to Ulpara and Shivannagudem from the Baswapur Reservoir. She said that Irrigation Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, who represents the district, should understand the nature and benefits of the proposal put forward by her. She suggested that he could have the proposal examined by engineers if necessary. Kavitha alleged that the SLBC works were progressing at a very slow pace and that workers had lost their lives inside the tunnel due to the Congress government’s hasty actions. She also acknowledged that the previous government had shown some negligence in the tunnel project and said she apologised for it.

Kavitha further stated that she was demanding Chief Minister Revanth Reddy ensure that the Godavari and Cauvery rivers are linked at Tupakulagudem itself. Criticising the Congress government, she said that while it had projected itself as a fast-moving racehorse, it had turned out to be a wooden rocking horse. She also alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was repeatedly making the same statements without taking meaningful action. Kavitha appealed to voters to ensure the victory of the TRS in the upcoming Graduate MLC elections, stating that this was necessary to put an end to the Congress government’s negligence and the BRS’s political inaction. Meanwhile, she questioned the Congress government, which was advising farmers not to cultivate crops, and demanded that it clarify what benefits or support it would provide to farmers instead.
