Amaravati, May 21: The Telugu Desam Party Politburo meeting was held at the party office in Mangalagiri on Thursday. This meeting was held for the first time after the appointment of the new executive committee and Politburo. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party National President Nara Chandrababu Naidu attended the meeting virtually. Key decisions were taken on the organization of the Mahanadu in this meeting. The resolutions to be taken as a platform for the Mahanadu, the future activities of the party, and the promotion of government welfare programs were discussed extensively. The Politburo has decided to introduce a total of 20 key resolutions in the Mahanadu this time. These include 10 resolutions related to Andhra Pradesh, 4 resolutions related to Telangana, one resolution related to Andaman, 4 resolutions on common issues, and political resolutions. It was decided to give priority to issues such as state development, welfare programs, investments, and women empowerment. Focus on women’s welfare: The Politburo’s decision to organize the 2026 Mahanadu with the theme of ‘Women’s Power’ was a special attraction. CM Chandrababu spoke on the occasion. He suggested that the Mahanadu should be a platform for informing the people about the schemes undertaken for women’s welfare and the programs implemented with the participation of women since the inception of the TDP. The CM reminded that every welfare scheme was designed with the participation of women. He directed that a comprehensive discussion should be held in the Mahanadu on the schemes being implemented by the government, development programs being undertaken, investments coming to the state, and employment opportunities provided to the youth. CM Chandrababu commented that the Mahanadu should be organized to once again take the benefits being provided by the government to the people.
