Saraswati Anthya Pushkaralu begin with grandeur at Kaleshwaram

Hyderabad, May 21 : The 12-day-long Saraswati Anthya Pushkaralu commenced in a grand manner at the Kaleshwaram Pushkar Ghat in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district on Thursday, amid the chanting of Vedic hymns and traditional rituals. The sacred festival was formally inaugurated by Kanchi Kamakoti Peethadhipathi Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati, who took the first holy dip at the auspicious time of 5:43 a.m., marking the ceremonial beginning of the Pushkar celebrations. Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu, along with his spouse, Endowments Minister Konda Surekha, Endowments Commissioner Hanumantha Rao, District Collector Rahul Sharma, Religious Advisor Govinda Hari, and several other dignitaries participated in the inaugural rituals and took the holy dip. Bhupalpally MLA Gandra Satyanarayana Rao and Ibrahimpatnam MLA Mal Reddy Rangareddy also participated in the Pushkar rituals and received blessings from Vedic scholars. Large numbers of devotees have been arriving at Kaleshwaram to participate in the sacred bath rituals.
