Hyderabad, Nov.4 (NSS): The first Monday of the month of Kartika masam witnessed huge number devotees flocking the temples. The temples resonated with the remembrance of Lord Shiva’s name. The
banks of Krishna and Godavari were abuzz with devotees taking holy dips. All the famous temples in the State witnessed huge number of devotees. Rudrabhishekams, Maha Rudrabhishekams, Bilvarchanas and special pujas were performed by the devotees. Vemulawada based Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy Temple, a popular pilgrimage centre in Telangana State, witnessed a huge rush of devotees. The priests of the temple performed gau puja and mahanyasa purvaka ekadasa rudraabhishekam to the lord. As it is the first Monday of Karthika month, the authorities have made arrangements to conduct Satyanarayana vratam twice. Arjita and Anna Puja services have been cancelled in the sanctum sanctorum in view of the rush of devotees. Devotees thronged the Shiva temples in the combined Nalgonda district. They also
thronged Meenakshi agastheswara temple in Vadapalli, Pillalamarri temple and Mellacheruvu Shiva temples. On the banks of Godavari in Bhadrachalam, the devotees took holy dip and dropped the karthika lamps in the river. The devotees performed special pujas at the Kashi Vishweshwara Swami
