June 2, Hyderabad: The City Armed Reserve Headquarters hosted Telangana State Formation Day celebrations, showcasing Hyderabad. Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar disclosed several achievements and modifications, such as the police’s technical advancement and people-centered policing initiatives.After raising the national flag and paying tribute to the Telangana martyrs, the Commissioner highlighted how Hyderabad Police is utilizing artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and community interaction to create a safer city. One of the most noteworthy initiatives was “C-Mitra,” India’s first Virtual Police Officer platform that lets citizens file complaints and file FIRs from the comfort of their own homes. The system has already enabled hundreds of cybercrime cases and more than 1,100 Zero FIRs. The Commissioner also highlighted the “SOCEYE” digital monitoring platform, the AI-powered “CopWriter” tool, and the strengthened Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing’s battle against drug networks. As part of the Grand Health Challenge program, which prioritized employee wellbeing, nearly 20,000 police officers completed comprehensive health tests. Additionally, health volunteers have been placed throughout police stations to check wellness and provide support. The department’s anti-food adulteration division, H-FAST, has logged 173 cases and retrieved about 95 tons of contaminated food items while emergency response teams under “Spandana” continue to provide residents throughout the city with fast assistance.
