New Delhi, June 4: India-Venezuela collaboration is “immense importance” for the Global South community, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who on Thursday referred to Venezuela as a “valued partner” in Latin America. “Happy to meet Ms. Delcy Rodriguez, the acting president of Venezuela. Following the meeting, PM Modi wrote on X, “We had comprehensive conversations on extending our collaboration in energy, crucial minerals, technology, agriculture, health, and people-to-people linkages.” “The Global South greatly benefits from our tight collaboration with Venezuela, a valued partner in Latin America. He continued, “We will continue to work together for the mutual benefit of the people of our nations.” PM Modi and Rodriguez met at the Hyderabad House in New Delhi earlier in the day. The meeting was also attended by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, EAM Jaishankar, and other authorities. MEA’s Secretary (East) gave a special briefing on Rodriguez’s visit.
