Hyderabad : Telangana DGP CV Anand commented that women should be empowered as part of the Public Administration – Progress Plan program. He said that for that, women rides have been brought under the auspices of the Women Safety Wing. He said that 55 women have been taught driving and provided them with job opportunities. He said that till now, there were men in gig work, but from now on, women are also going to come. DGP CV Anand spoke to the media in Hyderabad on Saturday. DGP Anand explained that in the history of Hyderabad City Police, there has been no woman SHO at the Law and Order Police Station. He mentioned that after taking charge as Hyderabad CP, he appointed women inspectors as SHOs. He revealed that now 55 women are providing passenger transportation service services. He said that in the future, women drivers will be provided opportunities in logistic, cargo and delivery services across Telangana. DGP CV Anand suggested that women should also come out boldly and work if the country’s GDP is to increase.
