Karimnagar (TIM Bureau) : Special attention should be paid to greenery and sanitation.. Public problems will be solved with Gram Sabhas, said Collector Chitra Mishra. On Saturday, a Gram Sabha was held in Baddipalli village of Kothapalli mandal as part of the Public Governance Progress Plan. The Collector attended and spoke to the villagers that the problems in the villages would be solved if they were brought to the attention of the authorities. In the backdrop of the rainy season, priority should be given to sanitation management. Pipelines should be repaired and water tanks should be cleaned. The medical services provided by the government should be utilized. Dilapidated buildings should be identified and removed. Indus pits should be set up to conserve rainwater. It was explained that villages that pay special attention to small issues such as greenery, sanitation, drinking water, and medicine are winning awards at the national level. He suggested that the welfare schemes and facilities provided by the government should be utilized to pave the way for sustainable development. He said that garbage management should be undertaken as per the rules. He explained about avenue plantation and school path. He instructed the secretary to set up a help desk and solve the problems of the villagers. Speaking as part of the SIR, RDO Venkata Reddy explained about the voter registration list and mapping process.
