Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president Revanth Reddy on Monday said the upcoming municipal elections in the state are likely to witness a triangular contest, with multiple political forces competing for voter support. However, he refrained from making any predictions about the outcome of the polls.

Speaking to the media, Revanth Reddy observed that the political landscape at the municipal level has become increasingly competitive, indicating a three-cornered fight in several urban local bodies. He said local issues, governance, and public response to the ruling dispensation would play a crucial role in shaping the results.

Despite being pressed by reporters, the Congress leader avoided forecasting his party’s performance, stating that the verdict ultimately rests with the people. He emphasized that the Congress would focus on highlighting civic issues and holding the government accountable rather than engaging in speculation.

The remarks come ahead of heightened political activity in the state as parties prepare for the municipal polls, which are seen as a key indicator of public mood ahead of future elections.
