Hyderabad : Minister Seethakka held a state-level review meeting on rural development and Panchayat Raj departments. On Tuesday, the minister met with district additional collectors, ZP CEOs, DRDOs and DPOs at Jyothirao Phule Praja Bhavan. A district-wise review was held on the progress of development works and welfare schemes. Special attention was paid to the implementation of the Employment Guarantee Scheme, creation of working days for laborers, and payment of pending material bills. A review was held on the construction of Anganwadi buildings, Mahila Shakti buildings, and GP offices. The minister held discussions with officials on water conservation works and construction of check dams. The minister reviewed the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) works. Seethakka inquired about the performance of gram panchayats and the attendance of village secretaries. The progress of sanitation management and house tax collection was discussed. The work undertaken with the funds of the 15th Finance Commission was also reviewed. Key orders were issued to the officials on the achievement of the goals of the Swachh Bharat Mission. Instructions were given to the Mission Bhagiratha officials on the supply of drinking water during the rainy season. Seethakka issued orders that there should be continuous water supply to schools and Anganwadi centers. A review was held with the PR Engineering officials on the construction and repair of rural roads. Discussions were held with the SERP on strengthening women’s groups and increasing bank linkages. Action was ordered to be prepared to expand the livelihood opportunities of women. Orders were issued to implement every scheme so that it directly benefits the people. Minister Seethakka conducted a review as the main goal of the government is the development of rural Telangana. Also, the minister unveiled ‘Jalasiri’ posters to increase groundwater at the village level.
