Amaravati :The visit of YCP leaders to Amaravati has led to tension. Today (Saturday), the group of YCP leaders who came to visit Penumaka was stopped by the capital farmers at Undavalli. They protested by blocking the vehicles from moving forward by sitting on the road. On this occasion, the farmers shouted slogans like ‘Rajdhani Trohi Jagan, Go Back’. They questioned the face with which the YCP leaders will come to the capital. They demanded that they withdraw Mavigan’s comments. They protested against the visit of the YCP leaders wearing black badges. The farmers demanded that Amaravati be accepted as the capital only after it is accepted. The situation became tense as the YCP leaders and activists tried to push the farmers forward. A scuffle broke out between the capital farmers and the YCP ranks. Later, stone pelting took place between the two groups. A constable was injured in the incident and was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police were deployed in large numbers and security was tightened to bring the situation under control.
