Vijayawada:
The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly entered its second day of proceedings as preparations intensify for the presentation of the 2026–27 State Budget on February 14. The session, scheduled to run for 17 days, is expected to witness heated debates on fiscal allocations, welfare schemes, and infrastructure priorities.

Government sources indicated that key focus areas in the upcoming budget include irrigation expansion, agricultural support, and capital region development. Opposition members are preparing to question the government on revenue mobilisation, expenditure transparency, and project execution delays.

The Assembly Secretariat confirmed that procedural reforms — including digital tracking systems for attendance and documentation — are being gradually introduced to modernise legislative functioning.
