Amaravati, February 11 (TIM Bureau): The Andhra Pradesh Assembly sessions began on Wednesday with the Governor’s address. While Governor Abdul Nazeer was speaking, YSRCP members protested and walked out of the House. They staged a protest against the government’s stance on issues like laddu adulteration allegations, unemployment allowance issue, and privatization of medical colleges. YSRCP MLAs and MLCs surrounded the Speaker’s podium in the House and raised slogans. They tried to block the Governor’s speech, accusing him of ignoring their demands. The situation became tense due to the slogans of YSRCP members, and chaos prevailed in the House for some time. Some members protested by throwing papers towards the Speaker’s chair. Although the Speaker instructed to maintain discipline in the House, the YSRCP members continued their agitation. Later, they boycotted the House and walked out. The Assembly sessions became politically heated with this incident. The war of words between the government and the opposition is likely to intensify.
