Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at a chemical solvent unit in the Jeedimetla Industrial Area of Hyderabad on Thursday morning, triggering panic among local residents and workers in the vicinity.

According to initial reports, the blaze erupted at a warehouse located in Ramreddy Nagar, with flames quickly engulfing the premises. Fire officials received a distress call around 7:28 AM, following which multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot to control the situation.

Authorities confirmed that at least four fire engines were deployed, and firefighting operations are currently underway to douse the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby units. Thick smoke billowing from the site caused alarm among residents in the surrounding industrial area.

So far, no casualties or injuries have been reported, officials said. However, the extent of property damage is yet to be assessed. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is expected to be initiated once the situation is brought under control.

In a separate incident, another fire was reported at a tent house godown in the city, where materials were completely gutted, though no casualties were recorded. Authorities are probing both incidents.

Officials have urged people to stay away from the affected area as a precaution while emergency teams continue their operations.
