Hyderabad, April 10: Telangana is set to experience a rise in temperatures by 2–3 degrees Celsius over the coming days, with weather officials warning of intensifying heatwave conditions across several districts. In response, the Telangana Health Department has issued a public advisory urging citizens to take precautionary measures to safeguard their health.

According to meteorological reports, daytime temperatures are expected to cross the 40°C mark in many parts of the state, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses such as dehydration, heat exhaustion, and Heatstroke. Vulnerable groups, including children, the elderly, and outdoor workers, have been advised to remain especially cautious.

The Telangana Health Department has recommended avoiding direct sun exposure during peak hours between 12 noon and 4 pm, staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water, and wearing light, loose-fitting clothing. People have also been urged to use protective gear such as hats or umbrellas when stepping outdoors.

Health officials emphasized the importance of recognizing early symptoms of Heatstroke, including dizziness, headache, nausea, and high body temperature. Immediate medical attention is advised if such symptoms occur.

Authorities are also coordinating with local administrations to ensure the availability of drinking water in public places and to spread awareness about heat safety practices. The advisory comes as part of the state’s proactive measures to minimize the impact of rising temperatures on public health.

Residents are encouraged to stay updated with official weather bulletins and follow guidelines issued by the Telangana Health Department to stay safe during the heatwave conditions.
